Upholstery FAQs

What is the difference in natural and synthetic fabrics?

Natural fabrics (cottons, linens, wool, silk, etc.)

These fabrics must be color locked and cleaned by a trained professional or the colors can bleed, the upholstery can brown or yellow, along with various other problems. That is why natural fibers are more expensive to clean than synthetic.

Synthetic fabrics (nylon, polyester, olefin, acrylic, etc.)

These materials are more durable than natural fibers and can be cleaned with a water base cleaner in most cases.

How long will it take my upholstery to dry? or How long do we have to wait before we can sit on the furniture again?

The normal drying time is anywhere between 30 to 45 minutes. Depending on weather conditions, room temperature, air flow, and overall conditions, this time can vary. The fabric should be completely dry before you start using it again.
